Morning Ritual

I have a habit of laying in bed long after the alarm goes off. I’ve convinced myself that hitting the snooze button and allowing myself 8 more minutes of shuteye makes 6 am feel better. A morning person I am not, However, I’ve found that I am most clear within the delicate first moments when I rise. What I mean by clear, is that when all my faculties have been well rested and I awake I can hear my inner voice more clearly. This morning I realized that I haven’t completed my morning ritual in almost 2 weeks!

What is my morning ritual?

I like to start my day focusing on an affirmation and sitting in meditation for 20 minutes each day.

I am learning to remain consistent with my morning meditation even as life happens. Taking a couple minutes each day for meditation helps me to move forward with grace and ease. Each new day presents it’s on challenges so becoming disciplined in this practice is a must for me.
